Joseph Toscano, M.D.

Dr. Toscano is a well-known and respected Urgent Care and Emergency Room Physician who has practiced medicine for many years in the Bay Area. An avid supporter of disease prevention initiatives, Dr. Toscano and PA Bickford first worked together providing high-quality, low-cost medical care in some of the very first walk-in "Retail Clinics" in California (WellnessExpress Clinic) that started up in Davis and spread around the Bay Area.  

Dr. Toscano's passion for affordable access to preventive medical programs that improve the overall health of the community is key to Spring Medical Clinic's mission to provide quality weight loss and vaccination care.

Roger Bickford, PA-C

As Spring Medical Clinic's founding PA health care provider, PA Bickford has helped thousands of patients lose weight at Spring Medical Clinic since it first opened in 2008.  He has over 15 years experience in family practice/primary care medicine treating all the common long term issues related to weight gain - diabetes, cholesterol problems, high blood pressure, back pain - all those things he's happy to see either get better or go away after he's helped Spring patients lose weight!   A natural born teacher, PA Bickford consults with each patient to consider both their medical problems along with their social family/work issues to coach and counsel them to lose weight and keep it off longer than they ever did before. 

PA Bickford has developed and taught many classes for patients and medical staff on vaccination guidelines, Quit Smoking classes, and was the "Weight Management Officer" while in the Air Force to help active duty patients lose weight. PA Bickford holds a BS in Biomedical Science from USAF/Univ. of Neb. PA Program, a BS in Health Care Mgmt from So. Illinois Univ., and an AAS in Med. Lab Technology.

Maria DeGracia, PA, SAFE, CHT     Spring Medical Clinic - Natomas

PA DeGracia, one of our staff PA's, works in all our locations, but will primarily be at our Natomas clinic.  She brings over 28 years of medical practice experience in key areas of women's health, primary care, and is especially known for her patient-supportive nature. 

Her compassionate care and sensitive nature help her connect with patients in ways that encourages them to see the possibilities of a brighter, more healthy future.  PA DeGracia's extensive background in personal growth teachings from both a psychologic and spiritual point of view coupled with her passion for listening to patients make her an exceptional provider for our weight loss patients to consult with as they start or continue on in their weight loss journey. 

A Sacramento area native, PA DeGracia is a graduate of the UC Davis PA Program as well as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist trained at the Hypnotherapy Institute of Spokane, Washington. 

Vicki Moore, PA-C   Spring Medical Clinic - Vacaville

PA Moore is one of staff PA's working primarily at our Vacaville clinic.  A Georgia native, PA Moore is a PA school graduate from the Medical College of Georgia and has been over 15 years medical experience in primary care and ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat).  

She started in our West Sacramento clinic location supporting patients so well from points West of Sacramento that we had to open a new location in Vacaville in 2010 to share the quality low-cost medical weight loss vision of Spring Medical Clinic to the high cost bay area market.  She's a staunch advocate that everyone should be able to access quality low cost medical weight loss care the Spring Medical Clinic way!   

Anna Arteaga     Spring Medical Clinic - Vacaville

Anna our Senior Medical Assistant and Senior MA Trainer.

Since starting at Spring, she has worked her way to the top!  Her attention to all things Spring make her the go-to-person for all the staff that followed her.  Her caring, helping attitude towards our patients and staff make her easy to talk to and assure our patients that they are on the right track (even if that means riding the little train at the Nut Tree Station!)  

Anna is bilingual - and an excellent interpreter for our Spanish-speaking patients.

Christina Sanchez     Spring Medical Clinic - Natomas

Christina is another one of our senior Medical Assistants. She too is very supportive of all our patients efforts to lose weight! Seemingly quiet at first, everyone soon finds that Christina knows everything that's going on and makes sure nothing is missed!  She is quick to answer our patients questions about the foods and nutritional products we carry and to give reassurance when someone misses a step in their weight loss journey.  She is also bilingual in Spanish - Se Habla Español?

Mayra Barragan

Mayra is one of our wonderful medical assistants providing care to our patients at both clinic locations.  Probably one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, Mayra works hard to support all our patients and staff everyday with an ever-present smile!  She too is one of our bilingual Spanish speaking interpreters.  

Areli Zuniga

Areli is one of our newest medical assistants.  A fast learner, she is quickly becoming someone our patients can easily talk to with her warm smile and obvious interest in helping others.  A Sacramento area native, she is at home working in both our clinic locations.
